Open-Source Email Transport

Missivus

An open-source (GPLv3) plugin family that sends application mail through Microsoft Graph — application permissions and a shared mailbox, no delegated OAuth. Shipped for Matomo, WordPress, Nextcloud and Ghost.

The problem

Self-hosted applications still send mail the old way — SMTP with a password stored in a config file, or OAuth tokens delegated from one employee’s account. Both are brittle: Microsoft is retiring basic-auth SMTP outright, and mail wired to a person breaks the day they leave.

What it is

Missivus is a plugin family that sends an application’s outbound mail through Microsoft Graph, using application permissions and a shared mailbox — no delegated OAuth, no person in the loop, nothing that breaks on a staff change. Shipped for Matomo, WordPress, Nextcloud and Ghost. Free software under GPLv3, from Solvetus Labs; the business model is paid installation and support, not the software itself.
