Open-Source WordPress Plugin

Conecta

WordPress authentication plugin for Chave Móvel Digital (CMD) and the European eIDAS Digital Identity Wallet. Open-source, privacy-first, built for European websites.

The problem

European websites increasingly need to authenticate users against real, national or EU-level digital identity — Chave Móvel Digital (CMD) and the eIDAS wallet. But for the millions of sites running WordPress, there is no easy, privacy-respecting way to plug that in.

What it is

Conecta is an open-source WordPress plugin that adds login and verification via CMD and the European eIDAS Digital Identity Wallet — verify that a user is a real, identified person without handing their data to a third-party broker.

  • Open-source — auditable, sovereign, no lock-in.
  • Privacy-first — minimal data, no surveillance middlemen.
  • Built for Europe — CMD today, eIDAS wallet as it rolls out.

Where it fits

Conecta is the reusable identity layer beneath the trust stack — the same verification that powers Glocalis, released as open infrastructure anyone can adopt.
