Local-First AI Utility
Renomino
A local-first desktop tool that renames documents using a local LLM — clean, consistent, sortable filenames, with zero data ever leaving your machine.
The problem
Folders full of IMG_4821.pdf and scan0003.pdf are unsearchable and unsortable.
The tools that could fix this by reading your documents are exactly the tools you
should never hand a folder of private invoices and contracts to.
What it is
Renomino is a local-first desktop tool that renames documents using a local LLM. It scans a folder, reads each file’s content, proposes a clean, consistent, sortable name, and renames in place — preserving your folder structure.

- 100% local — the model runs on your own hardware; zero data leaves the machine.
- Reads real documents — including vision OCR for scanned PDFs and images.
- Consistent, sortable —
{DATE}-{ENTITY}-{CONTEXT}by default, or your own template.
Why it matters
Privacy, local-first software, and European digital sovereignty as a product principle, not a tagline. Your documents never touch a third-party server.
